About Us

sid with kit

As students, we’ve spent countless hours learning about math and science in the classroom, but we never really had a chance to apply it anywhere. For those fortunate enough to participate in such programs, the more we grew up, the more that it seemed like distant memories. What about the kids who didn’t have access to these programs? What about those who couldn’t afford to pay for the resources? That’s why we created Seize The Bot.

Seize The Bot’s mission is to empower students to spark an interest in robotics by collecting old robotics resources from FIRST Lego League alums and donating them to schools that could benefit from it.

To ensure this interest will be nurtured, we strive to ensure there are sustainable programs at middle schools that teach students about FIRST Lego League robotics, which serves as a hub for the STEM community.

Our Process

zoom meeting

Getting In Contact

Reach out to middle schools who lack a robotics program.

Donating Robotics Kits

Meet with principal/head faculty to explain different FIRST LEGO League (FLL) kits.

meeting to distribute kits
workshop presentation

Hosting a Robotics Workshop

Designate a set date/time with school to come and present FLL robotics.

Setting Up For Success

After gathering enough interest, we designate faculty to teach this program and provide them with the proper instruction resources. Each meet, we have two members from Seize The Bot come and help out.
